EL OCHO CLIMBING SCHOOL

Climbing Guide TD3, born in the Sierra de Guadarrama, where he took his first steps on the granite wall of the iconic La Pedriza. Since then, a lifelong passion for alpine and adventure climbing has defined his path, leading him to explore some of the world’s great walls —from Yosemite to the remote mountains of Kyrgyzstan.

Climbing guide & mountain leader

Climbing guide and Mountain Leadership. Agricultural and Rural Environment Technical Engineer.

Born and raised in this fortunate land, surrounded by volcanoes and ravines. At the age of 12, he began practicing mountain sports with his father. At 13, they reached together the highest summits of the Pyrenees and Sierra Nevada, and by 14 they had climbed some of the most iconic peaks of the Alps — Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, and the Matterhorn (Cervino) — returning several times in search of new summits and walls (Lyskamm, Pollux, Gran Paradiso, and others). At 15, he became the youngest person to date to reach the summit of Mount Batian, on Mount Kenya, as well as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

He has an extensive knowledge of mountain regions and rock climbing areas throughout Spain and Morocco.

Specialized and passionate about all forms of climbing and mountaineering.

Guillermo Flores

Guillermo Flores

Climbing & canyoning guide

Mountain guide, climber, canyoneer, and nature enthusiast in all its forms.

From an early age, he developed a deep connection with the mountains through experiences of self-sufficiency and adventure. Climbing soon became his way of life. The spires of Galayar were his first alpine training ground, from where he went on to scale major walls across Spain and North America.

His passion for climbing, ridges, and canyoning led him to become a certified professional guide and instructor, dedicated to sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for mountain sports.

He is currently based in Tenerife, where each day on the rock is an opportunity to transmit the essential values he learned in the mountains: humanity, respect, and commitment—to both those who join the adventure and the natural environment that surrounds us.

Denise Bertram

Denise Bertram

Climbing guide

Since the age of ten, Denise —born and raised in Germany— has felt an irresistible attraction to the heights, whether on indoor walls or natural rock. What began as a childhood curiosity soon grew into a deep passion and, ultimately, her profession in Tenerife. As a certified coach and graduate in Sports Science, she combines extensive technical knowledge with many years of experience and a genuine enthusiasm for climbing.

For years, she successfully competed in climbing and bouldering competitions, learning that it takes much more than strength or technique alone — mental resilience and strategy are equally essential.

As a mother of two, she understands the importance of joyful movement and self-confidence. With humor, patience, and empathy, she shares her passion so that both children and adults can challenge themselves and discover their own potential through climbing.
